DESIGN
The design of this phone is really high quality and unibody plastic giving you a durable and strong feeling when using the device for longer usage.
I was very impressed with the build quality of this phone, it’s much better than those offered by the Likes of Sony and HTC.
If you are looking for a 4G Smartphone with good build quality, something that actually works, I highly recommend the Vodafone Smart Speed 6 it’s a great device for first time Smartphone buyer’s or wants a decent phone on a tight budget.
SOFTWARE
It is running on Android Lollipop 5.1 with no bloatware, just a clean stock android that gives you a smooth performance all around.
Switching between apps is a bit slow at times, but considering this low price point you can’t go wrong with it. It works much better than other android phones three times more expensive than this and the build quality is really good, sturdy, durable and reliable.
MEMORY
Out of the 8GB internal storage, only 1.90GB is available to the user, but the good about most Vodafone Devices is this phone allows you to save most apps and files directly to your memory card than using all your phone’s internal memory.
I also recommend using Google Drive, Onedrive to back up all your important files, documents and music, you can also access all your content from these cloud services at anytime.
CAMERA
Camera is 5MP with LED flash and produces ok results but could be better.
I found it struggles to take any quality pics at night, regardless of how you manually control all the settings, the pic quality is still weak, especially at night.
Here are some pictures taken with the Vodafone Smart Speed 6 both in Daytime and Night.
DAYTIME
NIGHT
BATTERY
It has a 1780mAh battery and can last upto 2 days with everything set at minimum.
Heavy Usage
During Heavy Usage it lasted me about 6-6.5hrs and that is by Browsing, Playing Games, Social Networks, Watching Movies and TV shows.
Medium Usage
With Medium usage it can last anything between 24-48hrs depending on device settings, usage and other factors.
In my experience in Medium Usage, it lasted me upto 48hrs and that’s by General browsing, social networks and listening to music. When everything is set to a minimum your phone can last longer by turning off Location, Sync, Wi-Fi, using battery saver mode when your phone drops below 20%.
